Academic Night

Scott and I are so proud of Logan and Brianna. They both made Academic Night this year, which means they have to have all A's on their report cards with not more than one B all year. They are both naturally good students, but they did have their challenges this year. For Brianna it was math. She catches on, but it takes her a little while longer in this subject. AND, there were a few times that her teacher had something marked wrong or showed an assigment as missing that wasn't. You would think it would be easy for her to get that fixed, but it isn't. I know I need to let go a little so I held back this year and made her deal with these things herself and she did it! For Logan reading and writing are challenges. Not because he can't do them, but because he doesn't like to or want to. He improved a lot this year, and although I don't think he's ready to admit it, I think he's beginning to like to read. I am impressed that his teacher was able to read his handwriting well enough to even give him a grade. Good thing he's not graded on penmanship! :)
