Sledding at Wing Mountain

This was one of those vacations that goes down in the memory books as fabulous! The weather totally cooporated. Sunny for our hike/bike day and beautiful, billowy snowflakes all day for sledding.
We left Sedona to go sledding at Wing Mountain, which is past Flagstaff, around 10:00. As we drove through the canyon the drizzling rain slowly turned to snow. We had to stop at a viewpoint so the kids could get out and stand in it. Lyndsee had never seen falling snow before. It ended up snowing ALL DAY! It was so fun as you can see from the pictures below. I must thank Heidi and Lisa for providing all the great snow gear. We would have been freezing without it, but all of us stayed nice and dry and toasty. Thanks girls!
Always the daredevil!

Cute snow bunny!

Even the grouchy teenager had a smile on her face all day!

A hot cocoa break around the fire pit.

The bikes had a nice coating of snow on them (and a few icicles hanging from the handlebars.) It was hard to believe that just the day before we were out sweating on the trails in Sedona.

The drive home was a bit icy, I'm glad we left when we did.

We are home safely and grudgingly preparing for real-life tomorrow. Have a great week!
